This time around, you’ll fight through interconnected, Zelda-like levels and discover a wide variety of secrets and challenges as you attempt to save a cursed island. How long it takes you to beat Mina the Hollower will depend largely on two things: How much time you spend exploring optional content around the world, and how skilled you are at taking on its challenging combat encounters. It’s no walk in the park, after all, and reaching the game’s conclusion requires a lot of patience and strategy.
That being said, you can expect somewhere between 20-30 hours for your first playthrough of Mina the Hollower, unless you opt to use some of its modifiers that dramatically reduce the game’s difficulty. There’s a lot to see and do in this old-school adventure, so this isn’t one you’re likely to be beating in a single sitting.
There’s also a New Game Plus mode that unlocks after beating the game. You can opt to start this when beginning a new run, and it goes up to NG+7, with each new cycle adding extra changes to the game experience.
