When you pick up a new Pokémon, you never fully know what you’re fully getting into. The latest games in the series have been decently long, but how does Pokémon Legends: Z-A compare to its predecessors?
Whether you’re a completionist or a casual player who just wants to focus on the main story, the length of the game can differ. We’ll explain how long it’ll take you to beat Pokémon Legends: Z-A so you can decide how much time to put into it yourself.
How long does it take to beat Pokémon Legends: Z-A?
Pokémon Legends: Z-A roughly takes 25 hours to beat the main story, but can last upwards of 80 hours for those seeking to complete everything in the game. This means the latest game in the Pokémon franchise has a similar length to many that have come before it, despite taking place exclusively in Lumiose City.
The main goal of the campaign is to rise from Rank Z to A. You’ll be facing off against other Pokémon trainers in the Z-A Royale, one for each letter. To do this, you’ll need to earn enough tickets by fighting Pokémon trainers at night in Battle Zones. Then, during the day, you’ll be completing side missions, helping with Mable’s research, and catching wild Pokémon.
In total, there are 37 main missions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Still, there are plenty of post-game missions you can complete to make things last even longer, so the fun doesn’t have to stop there.
