While playing Planet of Lana II, you’ll eventually reach a section where you’re searching for ingredients to heal Anua. The third ingredient requires you to find the Sacred Deer, but before you can obtain it you’ll need to complete a ritual song at the ritual site.
This puzzle can be a little confusing at first since the game doesn’t clearly explain the rhythm or button inputs. Here’s how to solve it.
Step 1: Check the Journal
When you reach the ritual site, open Lana’s journal. You’ll see symbols representing notes for the ritual song, but there isn’t an obvious rhythm shown. Some symbols are also missing, which means you’ll need to explore the nearby area to find the full sequence.
Step 2: Enter the Cave on the Right
Head to the far right side of the ritual area and enter the cave. As you move through it, you’ll pass a few memory scenes from earlier in the game. Continue through the cave until you reach the first ritual room.
Inside this room, you’ll see symbols on the wall. These symbols represent part of the song, but they may not exactly match what appears in your journal.
Each note in this puzzle requires pressing one or two buttons at the same time.
If a symbol shows two large circles, you need to press both matching buttons simultaneously.
The position of the circles indicates which buttons must be combined to create the correct note.
Play the sequence shown in the room to activate the ritual symbol.
Step 3: Solve the Second Ritual Room
After completing the first room, continue deeper into the cave to find the second ritual room. This works exactly the same way as the first.
Read the symbols on the wall and play the corresponding notes using the button combinations shown.
Once you finish this room, you’ll have all the information needed to complete the ritual outside.
Step 4: Perform the Final Ritual Song
Return to the Sacred Deer ritual site. The symbols shown here are actually a combination of the symbols from both ritual rooms.
To complete the ritual:
Combine the notes from both rooms.
Focus on the symbols that contain large filled circles.
Play each note using the buttons that correspond to those filled circles.
Once the correct sequence is played, the ritual will complete and the Sacred Deer will appear, allowing you to obtain the final ingredient needed to heal Anua.
