At some point during the back half of Resident Evil Requiem, you’ll be playing as Leon and will find a locked briefcase. It’s a triple-letter lock, and its solution is a lot tougher to discover than you may realize. The reward for unlocking the briefcase is worth solving this puzzle, so we’ll help you open the briefcase in Resident Evil Requiem.
Briefcase code solution in Resident Evil Requiem
To find the code that unlocks the briefcase in Resident Evil Requiem, you’ll need to find a to-do list, get a library card from inside a desk, find a book in the library, and then look behind the photograph inside. This will lead you to finding the code, which is RRR. But let’s break down how you find this code in the first place.
After finding the briefcase in the S.T.A.R.S. Office on the R.P.D.’s second floor, leave the locker room and read Barry’s To-Do List sitting on a nearby desk. It mentions that the captain checked out a library book, so walk into the captain’s office and open the drawer.
Wait for the library card to drop down from the desk drawer, as it won’t appear right away. You can now leave this room and head back to the Library. Go up to the second floor, and you’ll see a book sitting on a shelf that you can interact with.
Rotate the book so you can open it, and inside will be a photo of Rebecca Chambers. Turn the photo around, and it will say “Rising Rookie Rebecca.” This should lead you to the code RRR.
Once you input the code into the briefcase, it will open and reveal the Power Shades Charm. This charm, once attached to Requiem, offers limitless bullet penetration and increases the firepower of the last bullet in the cylinder.
Resident Evil Requiem is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
