There are a few different ways to raise your friendship levels quickly in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, but not all of the methods are obvious. If you’re trying to make a fast bond between you and your Pokémon, here are the best methods.

Best ways to raise friendship levels in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

To quickly increase your friendship levels with your Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you can level up your Pokémon and spend time at a cafe with them. Although the main method is simply leveling them up, other activities, such as sitting at cafes, are also effective ways to build a strong friendship.

First off, make sure to spend time with your chosen Pokémon at cafes across the city. Some of them are expensive, but we’ve found that the most reasonably priced cafes are the Nouveau Cafes. This chain can be found serving coffee and tea from a truck. You can even purchase their cheapest drinks, like Fresh Water, for just $100, which still improves your bond with your Pokémon.

Other than those two methods, here are some other, more subtle ways that you can boost your Pokémon friendship levels:

Give items to your Pokémon, like Berries
Walk around with your Pokémon outside of its ball
Equip the Soothe Bell to a Pokémon (A reward from Side Mission 36: Some Friendly Competition)
