If you didn’t already know, last summer Crytek announced that they would be partnering with Microsoft to bring their competitive multiplayer monster hunting FPS Hunt: Showdown to the Xbox. On March 11th we got some exciting news regarding the game’s release on Xbox in the form of a teaser trailer, which you can watch below, as well as some words from Crytek. The launch has been narrowed down to as soon as this Spring and will be apart of the Xbox Game Preview Program.
Programs like Xbox’s Game Preview and Steam’s Early Access have been great tools for developers to really build their games around what their community wants. Obviously, you can’t give the player base 100% control over the development of the game, otherwise the game would be a total dumpster fire. But letting them know that you are listening and that what they say matters, helps build a strong relationship between the community and developers alike. Something I feel we lack a little too much of today.
If you want to stay up to date on everything Hunt: Showdown, you can follow the game on any of their various social media pages: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Discord or go check out huntshowdown.com.
