Indie Games Now Available on Nintendo Switch

Nintendo Switch owners will be pleased with the batch of indie titles that have released on the console. In addition to Ori and the Blind Forest, more goodies are up for grabs. Superhot and the Hotline Miami Collection have arrived, so you can satisfy all your cravings for some of the best indie games out right now.

Time moves only when you move. Blurring the lines between cautious strategy and unbridled mayhem, SUPERHOT is the FPS in which time moves only when you move. No regenerating health bars. No conveniently placed ammo drops. It's just you, outnumbered and outgunned, grabbing the weapons of fallen enemies to shoot, slice, and maneuver through a hurricane of slow-motion bullets.

Superhot is a first-person shooter where time stands still when you do. You must learn to navigate the world by plotting paths and avoiding the trajectories of bullets and enemy attacks. It's an unusual concept, and it makes for some interesting play as you figure out a way to escape death. You can devise a strategy, but it may fall apart in the ensuing chaos of the fight.

Hotline Miami is violent, too, but the game isn't presented as elegantly as the sparse visual of Superhot. And that's not a bad thing at all! If Superhot is finesse, then Hotline Miami is brutality. Devolver Digital created a manic top-down action game with a pulsing soundtrack. It's a crazy adventure, and there are two games to slake your thirst should you be left wanting after the first title, but the odds are you'll be back for seconds on both games.
