Earlier this year, we helped reveal the launch roster for Dice Throne Digital. Now that players have their hands on the closed beta, I sat down with Dice Throne co-creator Nate Chatellier to talk about bringing the tabletop game to screens, the challenges that come with that transition, and where the digital experience could go. We even got a sneak peak at some juicy new customization options.
After our conversation, there’s plenty here that makes me want to keep Dice Throne Digital on my radar. If you haven’t wishlisted it, this is a good time to change that, because beyond supporting the game, the ongoing wishlist challenge gives the community a chance to unlock exclusive free skins for launch.
“I’ve been dreaming about this for 10 years.”
That excitement comes through as we discuss what’s next for Dice Throne Digital. From the solo campaign to learning new heroes, the team wants to give players plenty of reasons to keep rolling.
“We want to motivate players to feel like they want to master every hero and they’ll be rewarded for doing that.”
And of course, we couldn’t let him leave without getting himself in trouble and teasing something new. Chatellier went a step further, sharing his screen for a first look at some upcoming hero skins. Check out our full conversation below for more on development, the future of Dice Throne Digital, and stick around for that Digital skin showcase.
