It is no secret that lead vocalist for Avenged Sevenfold (A7X), Matt Shadows, is a fan of the Call of Duty franchise. He has mentioned many times before, that he is an avid player of all modes of the games, and that they helped him through a tough time, when one of his closest friends, and original drummer for A7X, Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan, passed away back in late 2009. A7X has created multiple tracks for the games, specifically the Treyarch titles. The band has mostly done tracks for the zombies mode, but has also done tracks for the campaign, and multiplayer modes as well. In the clipped segment below of the studio broadcast for Operation Apocalypse Z, Shadows discusses his long relationship with Treyarch, and how he was put into the game.
As a big fan of A7X, I am very hyped to see Shadows make an appearance in the game. Unfortunately it is very likely that his character will be put behind a paywall, whether that be in the absolutely massive reserves pool, or the black market. If we are lucky, maybe we will see him as a part of this season’s contraband stream. What are your thoughts on this? Are you a fan of A7X? Who would you like to see get added to the Call of Duty roster? Let me know in the comments!
