When I initially read the news from Variety that a massively multiplayer Avatar game was in the works, I was pumped! Then I read mobile and strategy, and I'm still a little pumped, but it's not what I expected it to be. Looks like an officially licensed Avatar strategy game is coming to mobile ahead of the release of Avatar 2 next year.
Don't get me wrong, It'll probably be cool, but I was hoping this was going to be our first VR-based MMO announcement! What world (besides Sword Art Online) would be more perfect I ask you? Also, if anyone could make a blockbuster next generation game using cutting edge technology it's James Cameron. The guy made a career off doing stuff like this!
Anyway, the team who made Marvel's Contest of Champions is behind this one so I'm sure it will be good
