Aiming to prepare their players for the upcoming launch of Street Fighter 6, Capcom has released a showcase, hosted by rap legend Lil Wayne, to show off the game. Of course, some players are getting their own first impression of the game by diving into the temporary demo that is available now on PlayStation and coming to Xbox and PC on April 26th.
This showcase features new information on the upcoming game, including new details on World Tour, customized avatar battles, accessibility features, and even the Year 1 roadmap. They also plan to have a twist on classic fighting game experiences, such as the single-player Arcade Mode, the new chaotic Extreme Battles, and the online gameplay with other players. They’ve even gone as far as making Ranked Matches more approachable with an easier take on demotion and deranking.
As for something new and unique, as a celebration of the entire Street Fighter series, they’re introducing the Battle Damage Feature! During fights, characters will get sweatier, develop cuts and bruises, along with other signs of heated battle appearing on their faces and clothing. This is only available in certain offline modes and can be turned off in Settings.
Street Fighter 6 is set to launch on June 2, 2023, for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Be sure to check out the pre-order details if you plan to pick this one up for some Summer beat downs! Will you be playing the demo before the release?
