Little Nightmares 3 - How to Escape the Twins

Every level in Little Nightmares 3 has its own “big bad,” and in the Carnevale level, that honor goes to the Twins. Escaping them takes patience and timing, especially if you’re playing co-op. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you get past them without losing your cool.

How to sneak past the Twins in Little Nightmares 3?

You’ll first encounter the Twins while they’re dozing off in front of a TV. Move carefully here—any sudden noise will wake them up. Stay crouched and inch your way across the room until you find a door that’s been boarded shut.

Unfortunately, you’ll need to remove both boards to move forward. The Twins will wake up after you remove the first one. So once that first board comes off, quickly pry away the second before they fully react and split up. The moment it’s free, slip through the door into the next room.

Hiding and finding the crank

The next area may look like a dead end, but don’t panic—the Twins aren’t exactly thorough. On the left side of the room, you’ll spot an open box. Climb inside and stay perfectly still until the Twin passes through to the next area.

Once it’s safe, look around. You’ll see what looks like a triangle-shaped button. It’s actually a crank mechanism, but the crank itself is missing. You’ll need to sneak into the next room to retrieve it.

Timing your movement

Crouch under the shelves and hide in another open box. Wait until the smaller Twin starts eating. When he’s distracted, quietly move under the nearby table. Stop midway. If you go too soon, he’ll finish eating and spot you.

When he finishes and begins banging his bowl for more food, stay hidden. Once he’s fed again, that’s your chance. Crawl to the next room and locate a switch that requires a partner jump to reach. Pulling it will activate a very loud saw, drawing both Twins into the area.

Quickly crawl under the nearby desk and slip back into the previous room using the small opening under the desk while they’re distracted by the noise.

Making your escape

Now’s your window. Climb onto the table, grab the crank, and sprint back to the room where the mechanism was missing. Attach the crank and start turning it.

After a few rotations, the Twins will hear the sound and rush toward you. The smaller one comes first, so be ready. As soon as he charges, slide into the hatch before he can grab you. The door will slam shut behind you, cutting off his pursuit.

Congratulations—you’ve escaped the Twins! This section is all about patience, timing, and keeping calm under pressure. Once you master their patterns, it becomes a tense but rewarding sequence that perfectly captures the unsettling spirit of Little Nightmares 3.
