Logitech's Magenta Lineup Elegantly Mixes Cool and Cozy, and I'm in Love

If you’re a gamer, you know that your peripherals can play a big part in helping you to make a setup your own. Setting a vibe is important to many of us, and matching a cool color scheme can be half the fun. When I decided to set up my own PC gaming space, my first thought was, “I’d love matching pink peripherals.” When Logitech offered to send over their magenta-colored lineup for me to test, I was ecstatic.

To be clear, I’m not coming at this from a highly tech-focused angle, as mice report rates and keyboard switch types are largely lost on me. I’m someone who enjoys cozy games and spending an afternoon questing through the lands of Azeroth, so I just value generally good quality options in sexy colors.

Everyone has their own tastes, and what works best for your setup will vary based on your needs. But for most players looking for a beautiful matching set of peripherals, Logitech’s magenta lineup is up to the task, both in terms of visual appeal and quality.

The PRO X TKL is my type

Perhaps my favorite of the bunch is the PRO X TKL keyboard, which makes a heck of a statement with its vibrant and punchy style. I love a good mechanical keyboard, and this thing feels like heaven on Earth. With extremely fast response times and over 50 hours of battery life, it’s been a treat to AWSD my days away.

I don’t love having to use Logitech’s G-HUB software to customize my RGB backlighting and reassign keys — but it’s a small price to pay for an otherwise amazing user experience. This may pose more of a problem for hardcore enthusiasts, though. For me, it was a minor inconvenience.

The PRO X3 SUPERSTRIKE sticks the click

The PRO X3 SUPERSTRIKE wireless mouse mixes a magenta body with black mouse buttons for an elegant aesthetic, making it the most striking of the bunch. But what really makes it stand out is how phenomenal it feels to use. It’s lightweight, glides smoothly, and offers insanely fast response times.

Admittedly, I use controllers in most of my games, so I don’t have extensive experience with gaming mice, but the PRO X3 SUPERSTRIKE has still exceeded my expectations. And it helps that I’ve averaged over 130 hours per charge, so I can spend more time playing my Druid in World of Warcraft: Forever and less time wondering when I’ll need to plug my mouse in next.

The PRO X3 LIGHTSPEED is music to my ears

The PRO X3 LIGHTSPEED headset rounds out the set with more gorgeous magenta. I especially love that the boom arm and visible cords are black, contrasting against the rest of the headset’s pinkish-red hues. But most importantly, they feel and sound fantastic, and they keep rocking for up to 70 hours.

Mic quality is above average and doesn’t suffer from the heavy compression found in lower-end mics (including some previous Logitech offerings), and the incoming audio is incredibly crisp with satisfying but never overwhelming bass. And I adore the fact that it comes with two types of earcups (leatherette and velour), which lets you pick what material feels best to you.

I wish I could switch between EQ settings directly on the headset, and I would’ve loved the inclusion of active noise cancelling. But given its mid-range price point and exceptional comfort, it’s hard to hold those misses against it too much.

And let’s be real: Nothing is without imperfections, including this magenta trio. But in a day and age where “pretty stuff” too frequently also means lower quality, I’m just thrilled to have found a matching set of gorgeous magenta peripherals that come out swinging in nearly every way.
