Stepping into the cosmic horror genre, commonly known as Lovecraftian horror, with their recent announcement is Ares Dragonis, but it looks like they aren’t done taking steps towards a release. With notice coming towards their game, The Shore, there is sure to be some excitement for its eventual release on PC via Steam. To take advantage of the moment they have released both a free demo and a crowdfunding campaign on Ulule with a goal of only $4,000.
I caught sight of this game only a couple of months ago when I saw their latest teaser trailer for the game. For those interested in these types of games but haven’t seen this one yet, I included the original teaser trailer above. Once you see the amount of effort going into the details and creatures, the list of which is fully shown on their crowdfunding page, you will see why this game is definitely worth checking out. They are already 25% towards their goal and still have over a month to go!
It’s definitely looking good for The Shore and those interested in it, but what I am going to have to try is this demo they recently released. Nothing reassures a game’s value more than getting a sample of what it has to offer.
