After many years of silence and a long absence, Nintendo finally broke the silence on Metroid Prime 4. It was announced in development for quite a while, with a subsequent announcement of the development getting restarted back in 2017. However, it was the closer to todays Nintendo Direct and fans are speculating it could also be a launch title for the Switch successor.
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is the next entry to the series and while the story details were not shared during the direct presentation, fans are wondering if the game will be a parallel launch title on the Switch and its successor similar to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild back in 2017 for the Wii-U and Nintendo Switch.
It goes without saying that this announcement was the best way to close the show and many fans are excited about getting a new Metroid game that is not a remake or a remaster.
We will have to wait for more details later this year, but for now fans are excited at the idea of getting a new entry in the story.
The game is set to release in 2025 with no proper release date mentioned by Nintendo.
