Modiphius Announces Fallout: Wasteland Warfare Second Edition — Coming 2026

Modiphius Entertainment is headed back to the wasteland, this time with a refined and reimagined take on Fallout: Wasteland Warfare. A second edition of the popular tabletop miniatures game is officially in development and set to launch in Q2 of 2026.

This new edition puts solo play front and center, letting players dive into a procedurally generated wasteland with a customizable hero from one of several iconic Fallout factions. You’ll recruit your own warband, scavenge resources, and battle everything from mutants to machines to raiders in a tense fight for survival.

But if you don’t want to go it alone, co-op is absolutely on the table. Players can team up, either temporarily by joining each other’s warbands, or long-term by tackling the campaign map together as a team. There’s also a simple character creation system to build your own unique hero to lead the charge.

And yes, classic battle mode is sticking around. Whether you want to pit your campaign-forged warband against another player’s, or just throw down with custom warbands in standalone skirmishes, it’s all still there, just sharper and more streamlined.

Launching eight years after the original game, this second edition pulls together everything Modiphius has learned from the community over the years. It’s a love letter to longtime players, but also a much smoother on-ramp for newcomers.

At launch, new box sets will introduce players to the updated gameplay and come with new plastic miniatures, adding to Modiphius’ already massive range of Fallout figures.

The second edition will fully support a wide range of factions right out of the gate, including the Survivors, Raiders, Creatures, Brotherhood of Steel, Super Mutants, NCR, Caesar’s Legion, Enclave, Minutemen, Railroad, Institute, Children of Atom, and the Cult of the Mothman. That means players will already have access to rules covering the vast majority of existing models at launch, with even more detailed expansions to follow.

The wasteland is about to get a fresh coat of radiation. Stay tuned.
