Once you stumble into the One-Legged Wolf Tavern in Mortal Shell 2, you may speak to Gragu, who doesn’t want to talk. If you keep pestering him, he’ll eventually reveal that he’s looking for the Heart of Vatra for his next meal. Giving him what he wants will get you his shell, so we’ll explain how you can find the Heart of Vatra in Mortal Shell 2.
Where to find the Heart of Vatra in Mortal Shell 2
You’ll find the Heart of Vatra for Gragu in Mortal Shell 2 at the Temple of Vatra, which is just east of the One-Legged Wolf Tavern. After exiting the tavern, cross the bridge on your right and keep heading east until you reach one of those teleporting gates that whisk you to the other side.
You’ll immediately come upon a new location called the Temple of Vatra. You may expect to slay a tough boss or complete a puzzle to get this heart, but it’s practically given to you at the top of this temple.
Before you head to the very top, stop at the area with the chest that requires three offerings. Light the three candles in the area, then unlock the chest to obtain the Berserker’s Stone Tarstone.
Now that you’ve received a new Tarstone, follow the trail of petrified people up the temple until you make it to a kneeling statue with its hands out. Take the Heart of Vatra from the statue, and immediately after, you’ll want to run all the way back to the tavern.
As soon as you pick up the heart, any of the statues you pass or run into will turn into enemies. Although they’re weak, they’ll still attack you, and the higher in number they are, the tougher it is to get away from them. Don’t stop running until you pass back through the gate and make it inside the tavern.
Speak to Gragu again and give him the Heart of Vatra. This will trigger a cutscene where Gragu takes the heart, eats it, and then dies from it. You can now inhabit his shell and take Gragu’s abilities for yourself.
