With the official release of the ultimate sandbox skateboarding game reaching multiple platforms, many of the positive reviews had a common complaint of this game lacking a multiplayer mode. Improving the value of their game to their players and community, Easy Day Studios has been working on bringing multiplayer to Skater XL and has officially launched the open beta servers on Steam!
While the game is available on multiple platforms, this open beta is meant to get some initial feedback and stress test the servers. By the time it is ready to launch, it is sure to hit PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and even Nintendo Switch, as well as the PC. During the test, they have the system set up how they plan for it to be when it is released officially: Up to 10 skaters per lobby which can be filled up by random players joining and by inviting friends to join you.
Hopefully, all goes well with the stress test and we will see the multiplayer released on all platforms sooner rather than later. Until then, you can check out the full open beta details here. But, if you have Skater XL on Steam, then now’s the time to get back on there and show some randoms what you can do! Then be sure to provide your feedback to the developers.
