Multiversus, the 2D fighter from Player First Games initially launched on PC and consoles back in 2022 but was eventually taken off to spend a bit more time in the oven. Now, the game is coming back with a host of new features and improvements outlined by the developers in a Roadmap trailer. Check it out below.
It’s re-releasing on May 28th, 2024 with the following additional features:
New Characters from WB properties
New Levels reimagined universes and environments
Improved Visuals thanks to Unreal Engine 5
Rollback Netcode
New PvE Mode
…and more to be revealed leading up to the launch.
So far, I think the new trailer shows a commitment to address some of the glaring issues in the game, but we’ll know more when we finally play it for ourselves. It’s still a free-to-play release and will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S|X with full cross-play and cross-progression support.
