NetEase and 24 Entertainment has exciting news for fans of the mythical melee battle royale game, Naraka: Bladepoint. The game has officially adopted a free-to-play model and is now also available on PlayStation 5, bringing the 60-player PvP experience to a wider audience. In addition to the free-to-play launch, Naraka: Bladepoint is cross-platform accessible, allowing players on different systems to battle it out together. This milestone coincides with the game's second anniversary and the impressive achievement of surpassing 20 million unique players!
To celebrate the arrival of Naraka: Bladepoint on PlayStation 5, the development team has prepared a welcome gift for players. Every player on PS5 will receive a Katana skin, a Ryuzan·Frost Reflection, and 2 Immortal Treasures. PS Plus members will also receive even more goodies, including 5 additional Treasures, exclusive Headwear designed specifically for PS Plus members, and more.
The developers have also announced an upcoming collaboration between Naraka: Bladepoint and NIER, set to launch on August 9th. While specific details about the crossover content are yet to be revealed, fans of both games can look forward to an exciting fusion of these two captivating worlds.
Naraka: Bladepoint is set to receive a wealth of new content, features, and updates. Among them is the addition of "Capture the Spirit Well," a 12v12 gang wars battle mode that challenges players to capture locations to earn points. Players can also look forward to wielding the new Dual Halberds weapon, which combines the power of a spear and a dagger. This versatile weapon allows players to stab straight or strike horizontally, and it even has the ability to lock other weapons.
Guild Mode will see improvements with the introduction of Justice Chamber updates, adding new positions and features to the existing guild system. Furthermore, a new hero named Tessa will join the roster. Tessa is a 1000-year-old fox demon, skilled in the art of charming enemies and capturing their souls.
As a token of appreciation for their loyal players, Naraka: Bladepoint will offer veteran players their own rewards. Players who have previously purchased the game will receive in-game gold equivalent to the edition they currently possess, along with other exclusive rewards.
Other highlights include PlayStation 5 player-exclusive items, anniversary in-game events and rewards, and a 3D Lobby where players can grapple and explore while queuing for matches. The game's new season skin theme, "Classic of Mountains and Seas," pays homage to the god of four seasons. Lastly, Players who have a Naraka account via Xbox Game Pass will be automatically upgraded from the Standard Edition to the new Deluxe Edition, which contains additional in-game rewards.
