Neo Geo Pocket-Style Fighting Game POCKET BRAVERY Gets Set Release Date

The fighting game genre is a hard one to compete in. There’s almost a monopoly on the genre, but thankfully that doesn’t stop new games to come out filled with passion. PQube and Statera Studio have been developing a Neo Geo Pocket-inspired fighting game called Pocket Bravery that takes inspiration from games such as Street Fighter, The King of Fighters, and Fatal Fury but with a retro twist.

The game includes 20 unique locations, like Siberia, Japan, and Nigeria, based on real-world places that can be fought in with 12 unique characters boasting their own playstyles. Players will get to build up their power and unleash devastating elemental combos and special attacks to turn the tide. Default and accessible modes are available for both hardcore gamers and those looking for a more casual experience. Local and online multiplayer have very low latency for online fights.

Indie games have a way of revitalizing over-saturated genres. Pocket Bravery looks to continue that trend of rejuvenation. The game looks to be a fun romp in the retro fighter game style.

Pocket Bravery is set to release on PC via Steam on August 31st. PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and GOG releases will be coming soon!
