Developer Beamdog has announced that the remastered version of Bioware’s RPG, Neverwinter Nights, will be released on Steam on March 27. The announcement was made via a livestream (posted above), where the team talked about the approach that they will be taking to update the game.
First off, players who pre-purchased the game will have access to early versions, and those players will also be the first to access patches after launch. Furthermore, the team also mentioned in their official blog, that they are looking into adding new content in the original campaign of Neverwinter Nights, but they haven’t found a way to do it as of now.
During the livestream event, the developers also mentioned that besides the PC release, the team is also looking into the possibility of bringing Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition to the Nintendo Switch. They said that currently, the team has “no formal plans” to bring the game to Nintendo’s hybrid console but the studio revealed that it’s “something that is appealing to us.”
The Enhanced Edition of the game will introduce a new features to the content of Neverwinter Nights: Diamond Edition. Check out the official description of the game below:
