After showing their hand with a roadmap at the start of the year, Vertigo Games has officially launched the Frontrunner Season for their co-op virtual reality (VR) title After The Fall with an all-new Horde Mode! Following their successful launch in December on both PC VR and PlayStation VR, this is only going to get better with all the upcoming content coming in the Frontrunner Season that is free for all owners of the game.
In Horde Mode, up to four Harvest Runners will deploy to a contained area where Snowbreed come running down from all sides, all the while they will have to survive for as long as they can. This first content launch brings two Horde Mode maps, "Junction" and "Highway," along with a new revolver. Following this is the "Boulevard" Harvest Map, the free-for-all PvP mode, the “Stockpile” PvP Map, and the new Skimmer enemy and player outfits in April. Also in April, Vertigo Games will be releasing the physical edition of the game that they announced with the season pass last month, and they have plans to add more equipment to the game, such as consumables, devices, and special skins.
After The Fall is only going to keep getting better from here and their plans for the game are definitely enticing. I’ll be hopping back in soon to try out this new Horde Mode and can’t wait for the new Harvest map! Are you excited for this start for the Frontrunner Season?
