After a short delay, developers Koalabs and publisher Microids are ready to finally provide an official release date for Syberia: The World Before. It was originally announced with the trailer below to be coming out on December 10, 2021, but now they are looking to release the game on March 18th for PC via Steam, Epic Games, and GOG. It even has a pre-order bonus for those who get their digital copy now.
If you do decide to pre-order the deluxe edition, it will include:
Digital Artbook (Pre-Order Bonus)
Short Version Of The Script
Digital Soundtrack
Wallpapers
Avatars
Original Storyboards By Benoît Sokal
This game will follow a story that unfolds across the path of two characters from two different times. In order to get to the bottom of the mystery within, you will experience an adventure across continents and time.
In Vaghen, 1937, players play as Dana Roze, a 17-year-old girl, who is beginning a brilliant career as a pianist. However, shadows begin to appear over her future as the fascist threat of the Brown Shadow hangs over Europe, at the dawn of the Second World War. Then, in Taiga, 2004, players switch to Kate Walker who survives as best she can in the salt mine where she has been imprisoned when a tragic event propels her into a new adventure in search of her identity.
Syberia: The World Before definitely looks pretty intriguing for fans of puzzle mysteries and is one I look forward to playing through. It’s a shame it was delayed, but the developers wanted to offer the best possible experience and are now confident about delivering the game you deserve. That is a delayed reason I can respect.
