Bungie just released some new news about Destiny 2’s new Season of the Deep in their most recent ‘This Week at Bungie.’ As we are nearing the release of Season of the Deep on May 23rd, Bungie has been hyping up the new update with drops of hints and reveals about what it will contain.
Destiny 2’s new teaser trailer showed Deputy Commander Sloane returning to the game, with the promise of something big lurking in the murky watery depths. The season will also introduce the Last Rite Scout Rifle, which players can earn by completing certain challenges.
As for Eververse, players can look forward to new recommendations that will showcase items recommended specifically for them. This will be in addition to the current feature of highlighting specific items and bundles on the Eververse Featured page.
Players were also given a preview of the various ornaments that will be available during the new season, including an under-the-sea-themed set. Bungie also reminded players to finish up their Season Pass and get their Guardians dressed up for the cutscene.
Finally, Bungie announced that a new dungeon will be opening on May 26th. While details about the dungeon are currently being kept under wraps, players can expect a new adventure to embark upon in the coming weeks. If players want to check out the full dev diary they can find it here.
