New SPIDER-MAN Gameplay Footage And Release Date Revealed for the PS4

Insomniac Games just released a new gameplay video for the upcoming Spider-Man game for the PlayStation 4. The footage via GameInformer showcased Peter Parker in combat, making his way around the city, showing the camera angles used by the developer giving the superhero a sense of momentum. The developers also discussed some aspects of the game during the video.

In an announcement via the PlayStation Blog, Spider-Man will be released exclusively for the PS4 on September 7, 2018, and will be priced at $59.99 for both the digital and physical versions of the game. You can check the game’s final box art below:

In the upcoming Spider-Man title, players will be taking the role of a much older, more experienced and confident Spidey as he walks around the streets of New York City “with style and confidence.” The developers also made Spider-Man assertive and in control of his abilities, and he’ll be able to switch smoothly from swinging around town, shooting webs, or engaging in melee combat. Insomniac Games described their vision for Spider-Man with terms like “speed,” “style,” “flow,” and “fluidity.” Although Spider-Man will be depicted as confident, the game will still be an underdog story.
