Announced during the Nintendo Direct presentation, a new team-based shooter is making its way to all platforms soon. No specific date is provided for Rogue Company, but what we see is absolute chaos. Guns, swords, grenades, missiles, drones. There’s a little bit of everything here, and it looks like elements of battle royale games and team-based shooters are being smashed together in one big heap.
First Watch Games is developing the multiplayer project, and Hi-Rez Studios is publishing. The game is releasing into a crowded genre, but there’s potential for a good audience if the mechanics are sound and the gameplay is innovative. For sure, Rogue Company has our interest after that zany montage of modern warfare. We’ll keep an eye peeled for further developments.
