nDreams has launched their virtual reality (VR) title Synapse! The game boasts engaging dual-wielding combat and a star-studded cast synonymous with the video game industry, showcasing David Hayter and Jennifer Hale. This title feels like a big deal for the industry and a great step forward for the VR game space. The VR scene has been in dire need of innovative titles and this game looks like a promising delivery.
Players will enter the mind of Colonel Peter Conrad (David Hayter) and will be guided by The Handler, Clara Sorensen (Jennifer Hale). The story revolves around a biological attack that the player and The Handler will have to stop. To do so, the player will enter the mind of Peter Conrad to extract information on his heinous chemical attack. That’s right! David Hayter is the bad guy, and his psyche is, coincidentally, filled with thrilling dual-wielding shooter gameplay and telekinetic powers which makes for a great game. The game has received a plethora of positive reviews already, which bodes well for the game’s quality.
VR has yet to reach its full potential and the only way for that to happen is for new games to come out and establish virtual reality as a legit contender to console and PC.
Synapse is out now exclusively for the PSVR2.
