A trailer from the official Nintendo Channel on YouTube has revealed that both Super Mario Odyssey and Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the two top selling titles to launch on their Nintendo Switch platform, are getting a VR update. This update will be completely free and is set to launch on April 25th, so the wait won’t even be long!
Unfortunately, the official announcement video isn’t in English. Luckily there are multiple channels covering the news and one by the name Nintendo Wire has released the trailer with full English tags on it. In the announcement trailer we are shared the details of what the update will include for both games.
For Super Mario Odyssey, we will get three new mini-missions, as well as the ability to revisit the Cap, Seaside, and Luncheon Kingdoms in a family-friendly VR experience. For Zelda: Breath of the Wild, we won’t be getting any new content, but will be able to experience the exploration of Hyrule like never before! Just bare in mind that, unlike Mario, you will need to start a new game in order to enjoy the VR experience in Zelda.
If you haven’t gone out to get your own Nintendo Labo VR Kit yet, then hopefully this free update will be the news you need to enjoy the wonderous experience of gaming in Virtual Reality. If you already have your kit ready to go, check out the official trailer below to let the hype begin:
