Nintendo Announces SKYRIM, SPLATOON 2, XENOBLADE CHRONICLES 2 And More For The Switch

Nintendo had more than just Zelda and Mario up their sleeve at last nights presentation of the Nintendo Switch. The company announced quite a few games we expected, some we didn't expect, and some that made us confused as all get out! I compiled trailers and a brief summary for some of the games that you can check out below...

ARMS

Your gut reaction when seeing this game is going to be "wtf Nintendo" but I assure you, this game looks pretty damn fun! Using each side of your Joycon controller, players will bob and weave and attempt to knock each other out in what looks like it'll be a fairly competitive experience! Quit telling yourself it looks dumb and check out the gameplay...I think this one has great potential.

Splatoon 2

We were all guessing we would see a remaster of Splatoon on the Switch, but I don't think anyone predicted we would be seeing an outright sequel! Granted, a sequel in Splatoon just means more maps, new weapons, and a lot more customization...but who the hell is gonna complain about that?!

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

How Monolith Soft quietly managed to create a trailer for a sequel to the beloved Xenoblade without anyone picking up on it is beyond me! Needless to say this was a huge surprise to fans of the original and to the gaming public as a whole! Can't wait to play this one!

Sonic Mania

I don't believe there was ever any doubt Sega would be on board with the new Nintendo console, but it's comforting to see one of the most exciting Sonic games in years making it's way to a console that I can leave the house with!

Skyrim

Its dumb people needed Todd Howard to say it's true before they believed it. Did you guys really believe Nintendo would use Skyrim in a product demo if they didn't have Bethesda supporting the console? Regardless, this will be the first Nintendo console that receives support from Bethesda and Nintendo fans I'm sure will be accepting them with open arms!

Fire Emblem Warriors

Fire Emblem fans go wild...the rest of us go "meh". I can't really get hype about another Dynasty Warriors clone. I just can't.

Shin Megami Tensei

By far the most WTF of all the trailers shown! I'm not too familiar with the series, but I'm about to get familiar after seeing this trailer!

Project Octopath Traveler

Square Enix drops this mysterious looking RPG that absolutely blew me away. I love the mixture of old and new graphics, and I'm getting a Golden Sun vibe from the whole thing. Can't wait to check it out.

1-2 Switch

Another game where the skeptics will say "lul cringe Nintendo" but I'm not counting this one out either. As gimmicky as 1-2 Switch may be, I think Nintendo is really onto something with this HD Rumble tech. I'll be interested to see how well it works!

Super Bomberman R

Nothing was said about this game in the presentation and I didn't even know it existed until I was on their YouTube page. I guess it's not like Bomberman really requires that much explanation...

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Mario+Splatoon and a whole lot of other features= good time.
