Ocarina of Time: How to Get Sun’s Song

You will soon learn that your ocarina not only plays fine tunes, but is also capable of manipulating the forces and rules of nature. If you’re tired of beating Stalchildren to a pulp while sprinting through Hyrule Field, continue reading to learn how to get the Sun’s Song in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake.

How to get the Sun’s Song in Ocarina of Time

Sun’s Song is a pretty useful ocarina song if waiting around for the sun to set or rise is a nuisance to you, among other uses. It is also one of the few songs that are optional and, therefore, missable in Ocarina of Time. So, if you want that juicy 100% completion, you better get ready for some spookiness.

Getting the Sun’s Song is only achievable after you meet Zelda and Impa teaches you Zelda’s Lullaby. Your next destination is Kakariko Village, and luckily, that is where you need to go. Head toward the southeast corner of the village and visit the Graveyard.

Get past Dampé or the Graveyard Boy toward the easternmost side of the Graveyard and locate a Royal Family tombstone.

Step on the Triforce symbol on the map and play Zelda’s Lullaby. This will cause lightning to strike the tombstone, destroying it and opening the way to the Royal Family Tomb.

The first room is filled with bats named Keese. Use your Fairy Slingshot to take them out from a distance, or swing your Kokiri Sword if you’re feeling extra melee.

Next up comes what I call the nightmare fuel room, thanks to one scary enemy: ReDeads. There are three of them standing in the room, which also has pools of acid. If the ReDeads spot you, they will scream and freeze you in your tracks. Then, they will run and kill you.

Sprint past the ReDeads and mash every button if they freeze you. Then, enter the next and final room.

You will find a stone tablet with an inscription on it, as well as some musical notation. Repeat the melody to learn the Sun’s Song. Play it to turn day to night and vice versa.

You can also use it to freeze the ReDeads in the previous room. Be sure to do that to avoid any further jump scares.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake is available now, exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2.
