With the number of horror games out there, it is almost surprising how long it is taking to see the actual horror icons get their own featured titles. Sure, we have seen many of our familiar scare icons featured in multiple games, but it’s about time they all start getting their own title. That is what developers Sumo Nottingham and publisher Gun Interactive are working on as they have unveiled a gameplay trailer for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre!
This trailer shows the Slaughter Family and their Victims, showcasing the familiar frights and sights of the original film along with a host of grisly surprises! It definitely seems that they are putting in the work to make sure the setting, environment, layout, and characters all look as they should to best match where the horrifying real events took place. It also shows that if gore is a problem for you, this will be a game to avoid because it is going to be a rough one.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will release in 2023 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Are you excited to see yet another horror icon finally get their own game representation?
