PAX just keeps getting better and better each year. PAX East 2025 is no exception and we got to see and play a massive amount of awesome new games and content. Let’s dive right in for our Top 5 moments!
CRIMSON DESERT Hands On Demo
Another show, another set of amazing moments with the upcoming droolfest, Crimson Desert. I was already dying to see more of this game and to be able to get a solid amount of hands on time was a pure treat. Fighting a couple of bosses but mostly just dishing punishment to Hex Marie was sublime. This game can’t come out soon enough!
ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN Match
ELDEN RING just rules but NIGHTREIGN wasn’t what I was expecting to blow my socks off during PAX but boy oh boy did it ever. This propelled my excitement from “Let’s do this” to “I CANNOT WAIT!”. Just watch above for a small sample of the awesomeness we beheld.
DUNE: AWAKENING Art Director Interview and Hands on Demo
#1 - Senior Art Director Gavin Whelan is a national treasure and a fine gentleman at that. With incredible passion and detail, Gavin went through his childhood exposure to DUNE and other Sci-Fi works in his native Ireland and how he has implemented that passion into Dune: Awakening. His excitement and passion was infectious and the game is already looking gorgeous.
#2 - Our hands on with DA was just awesome and while we were already excited for the game, now I we are absolutely STOKED!
SHADOW LABYRINTH Hands on Demo
Another absolute surprise that totally took me off guard. Retro Bandai Namco easter eggs? Check. Awesome Metroidvania gameplay that is way better than I expected? Check. This game looks, plays, and sound incredible. Sadly due to an internal issue we couldn’t get to our demos of BATTLE TRAIN and PATAPON 1+2 Replay but they look awesome as well. The Bandai Namco future is bright indeed and we are ready for it!
SPLITGATE 2 / Lenovo Legion laptops Hands On Demo
I was not expecting this at all but playing Splitgate 2 on the latest Lenovo Legion gaming laptops was like a dream come true. The action and graphics were just smooth and silky. Splitgate 2 totally took us by surprise too as it is way better than I ever imagined. The cherry on top? The map creator featured in the video above.
