Fans of Overwatch are in for another treat as Blizzard has announced that the game will be playable again for free this weekend in preparation for the upcoming Summer Games.
The announcement was made via Twitter and the free weekend will run from August 23-27. During the free period, players will be given access to the full roster of Overwatch’s 28 heroes and all 18 maps in the game. The event will also feature multiple modes such as Quick Play, Custom Games, and Arcade Mode.
All progress made within the free weekend will be carried over after the event, but only if the player decides to purchase Overwatch and use the same account that was used during the event. Players can learn more about the upcoming free weekend here.
Overwatch is now available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
