Fox 21 Television Studios has announced that it will produce a show based on Dontnod’s video game, Vampyr.
“We believe it is a fantastic premise for a television show, said Oskar Guilbert, CEO of Dontnod in a statement. “This is a new and exciting way for fans of the game, as well as the uninitiated, to enter and engage with Vampyr’s rich, deep story.”
The game was developed by Dontnod Entertainment, who is also known for the game Life is Strange. Vampyr is set in 1918 London and puts players in the role of a doctor, who also happens to be a vampire who requires feeding off living creatures for sustenance.
In our review of the game, we were impressed with the overall quality of the final product. Vampyr offered exciting gameplay that focuses on the player’s moral compass, to determine whether the character would save or kill innocent citizens.
As of now, there are not many details on the upcoming TV adaptation besides that it will happen soon. It is expected that more information will be released in the coming months ahead.
Vampyr the game is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
