PlayStation has a very sensitive relationship with PC players, especially on Steam. Previously blocking a lot of countries from playing Helldivers 2, a live-service game that relies on a large population to succeed. However, recently players are reporting that now they are able to access Helldivers 2, Last of Us Part 2 and many other PlayStation titles on Steam directly even when they were part of the original region restriction list. Does this mean Sony is getting light on the restriction?
The biggest winners from this is the Helldivers 2 community, in the subreddit are celebrating from Philippines, Latvia, and other countrie as it was on launch before the mandatory PSN linking came into play. Unfortuntely the game is still banned in 7 countries.
