Pokémetal is one of the most valuable and important resources to collect in Pokémon Pokopia. You may have come by some yourself, but not realize there are different ways to get it. We’ll explain how you can get Pokémetal, and what it’s used for in Pokémon Pokopia.
Where to get Pokémetal in Pokémon Pokopia
You can get Pokémetal in Pokémon Pokopia by mining it on Sparkling Skylands, buying it from the PC, or finding it randomly from Poké Balls. Before you have access to Sparkling Skylands, you will occasionally have the option to buy Pokémetal from Pokémon Center PCs. You can also occasionally find Pokémetal inside Poké Balls scattered across the world.
Once you do make it to Sparkling Skylands, there are certain areas in that region, like in caves, that have Pokémetal strains that get you fragments. Less often, you’ll get Rare Pokémetal Fragments that’s worth more, but have fewer uses. You still have to smelt it in a Smelting Furnace, like how you get Iron Ingots from Iron Ore.
If you want a consistent way to farm Pokémetal, find a Dragonite Doll and head to its Dream Island, which will always spawn Pokémetal Fragments for you to mine.
How to use Pokémetal
Pokémetal is often required for building structures, such as rebuilding the Sparkling Skylands Pokémon Center. It’s also needed to craft a myriad of items, whether they be simply for decoration or for completing the Team Initiation Challenge.
Otherwise, inside Pokémon Centers, you can find even more uses for Pokémetal. It’s worth 200 points when trading for items behind the desk, and worth the same when trading with a Trade Pokémon at any other cash register.
You can also use Pokémetal at the 3D Printer at Pokémon Centers. This machine can create a copy of any item you want, as long as you’ve taken a photo of it and you have the right amount of Pokémetal that it costs to make. Some rarer items require Rare Pokémetal instead, but it depends on the item.
You now know everything there is to know about Pokémetal! Speaking of resources, you should also know how to make Concrete in Pokémon Pokopia.
