Where to find Iron Ore in Pokémon Pokopia
The two main ways to come by Iron Ore in Pokémon Pokopia are either mining them in Rocky Ridges after eating a Hamburger Steak, or by asking Trubbish to turn garbage into iron for you.
If you head to Bleak Beach first, you can progress the story to eventually invite Trubbish to join your world. Piplup will ask you to make a Shower, and it requires Iron Ore, which Trubbish can make through Nonburnable Garbage, just like how Scyther can turn Small Logs into Lumber.
There is tons of garbage scattered across this world, so you’ll get Iron Ore in no time. It doesn’t just have to be Trubbish either; any Pokémon with the Recycle ability can do this.
Otherwise, in Rocky Ridges, you can mine actual iron deposits also by progressing that world’s main quests. You will eventually learn how to cook, and once you make a Hamburger Steak, eating that will power up your Rock Smash ability. You can also use the powered-up Rock Smash on the metal objects found across Bleak Beach to get Iron Ore.
Also, Iron Ore can be smelted into Iron Ingots by crafting a Smelting Furnace and getting the help of a Pokémon with the Burn ability to smelt it. While you can find Smelting Furnaces in the wild, you will learn the crafting recipe for one through the Rocky Ridges questline.
