London, 24th July 2025 – The news all of Lumière has been waiting for…

Sandfall Interactive, Kepler Interactive and Laced Records are bringing the beloved music of Sandfall’s smash-hit RPG, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, to physical music formats. Pre-orders are now open for 6LP and 2LP vinyl sets and a complete 179-track 8 CD set.

A deluxe 6LP vinyl box set has been thoughtfully sequenced by composer Lorien Testard to reflect the game’s three act structure, featuring 63 tracks specially mastered for vinyl and pressed to heavyweight discs. LPs come in spined inner sleeves, all housed in a rigid board slipcase. Sleeve artwork has been created by Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s Art Director, Nicholas Maxson-Francombe.

A double LP with Testard’s essential soundtrack selections is also available, with printed inner sleeves and a widespined outer sleeve. The 8-CD set has inner sleeves in a clamshell box and boasts the 154-track original soundtrack album plus 25 bonus tracks including the previously unreleased ‘Whispers of Tomorrow’, ‘For Those Who Come After’, and ‘Until Next Life (Solo Voice)’.

The Laced store (lacedrecords.com) and IGN Store carry respective exclusive galaxy-effect variants of both vinyl sets. For the Laced-exclusive 6LP box set, colours were selected by Testard to express the emotions evoked by the game’s characters and artwork, including the red, white and gold of the petals in Expedition 33. Traditional black vinyl variants and the CD set will also be available via third-party retailers.

Lorien Testard, composer for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, says: “I’m very happy to announce these Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 physical soundtrack sets. A huge thank you to Sandfall Interactive and Laced for making these releases a reality, and to Nicholas Maxson-Francombe for creating all the beautiful musical artwork on the sleeves. I wish you a wonderful journey through the world and the soundtrack of Expedition 33. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your adventures with us!”

As a special thank you to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 fans, a new digital album, Nos vies en Lumière (Bonus Edition), is available today via music services (streaming links) and can be downloaded for free from the game’s official website (www.expedition33.com/soundtrack) and Laced Records’ Bandcamp page. The album includes the full 33-minute version of ‘Nos vies en Lumière’ alongside bonus tracks, with a total run time of 1h 33m.

30 tracks from the original soundtrack have been updated with newly mastered versions based on the in-game mixes fans are familiar with. This includes the ‘Nos vies en Lumière’ trilogy of tracks (‘Une vie à t’aimer’, ‘Une vie à peindre’ & ‘Une vie à rêver’), fully remixed and remastered by Jake Jackson, Joe Caithness and Laced. These updates have been rolled out across Spotify, Bandcamp & other music services. People who have already purchased the original soundtrack will be able to download these new versions of the songs by following the instructions here

Lorien Testard’s soundtrack for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a musical painting that supports the game’s Belle Époque setting. Among many others, the leitmotifs in ‘Alicia’ and ‘Lumière’ are woven into the fabric of the game experience, capturing the grief and hope of the characters and the beauty of Lumière.

Central to the appeal and effectiveness of the soundtrack are the melodic lines of soprano Alice Duport-Percier—the lead voice and emotional heart of the game’s many vocal tracks. She is joined on several tracks by vocalists Victor Borba (singer on Devil May Cry 5’s ‘Bury the Light’) and mezzo-soprano Axelle Verner. Verso voice actor Ben Starr also sings on the moving ‘Until Next Life’. Most OST cues were written and recorded at Lorien’s home studio, while several others were performed and recorded by the prestigious Curieux Orchestre at Midilive Studios, Paris.

The Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 digital soundtrack has surpassed 230 million tracks streams since its release in April and has spent nine weeks in the No.1 spot on Billboard’s Classical Albums and Classical Crossover Albums chart.
