After a short delay, Buckshot Software and Retrovibe are moving forward with the Kickstarter campaign for their upcoming game, Project Warlock II. The campaign is now live and will run through mid-September. As of the writing of this article, more than $11,000 has been raised towards the sequel title.
In June we called this game a retro shooter “full of bloody pixelated explosions, spells, and carnage” and a throwback to classic games like Blood, Hexen, and Quake. If you miss the good ol’ days of these fast-paced shooters, Project Warlock 2 promises to deliver the same experience (albeit with some modern improvements).
This sequel will feature completely revamped visuals, new levels, abilities, weapons, and monsters. It will also allow you to play one of three Warlock characters, each with unique skills you can use to survive and annihilate your enemies.
The game will be available on PC via Steam and GOG, and will also make its way to consoles. We’re looking forward to getting our hands on this title and seeing how it compares to the shooter classics to which it pays homage.
