Well here is a bit of an oddity, the original GTA and GTA 2 have been rated by European ratings board PEGI for release on the PS3. Yeah, PS3 strange right? I mean the console was officially discontinued back in 2017 and while new game releases have come to the platform since then, mostly sports titles, we haven’t seen a release since 2018. Maybe this could mean we are going to see a digital rerelease of the games PS1 iterations onto the PlayStation Store? Even that seems odd considering the last digital PS1 Classic release happened back in 2016 with Mega Man Legends 2. Even stranger, the supposed release date for these titles are listed as today.
So what could these releases possibly be? Are they even really a thing in the first place or just a huge system error? Who knows, we have reached out to a Take 2 rep to try and shed some light on the matter. If by some chance these releases do turn out to be real and made available on PS3 as PS1 classics I seriously wouldn’t mind picking them up!
