It has been just over a month since Bandai Namco and Supermassive Games announced the opening of pre-orders for the collector’s edition of The Dark Pictures Anthology season one finale title, The Devil In Me. Now that we are getting closer to the Fall season, they have released a new trailer that gives more insight into the story and reveals the official release date for what is to be the darkest path yet in this thrilling anthology!
The trailer showcases new gameplay features and the game’s narrative. Players follow a documentary film crew who must escape a nightmarish experience in a place called “the murder hotel”, a grim setting where they encounter gruesome discoveries and murderous traps set for them by their mysterious host.
As for some of the new gameplay mechanics, these new title features are designed to enhance player immersion and reward exploration. Players can now interact with the world around them by manipulating objects, and running, jumping, or climbing to get to hard-to-reach areas. Also new is the inventory system which provides each character with useful tools such as a microphone, camera, and camera flash, along with other objects that can be used to save a life… or take a life.
The Devil In Me is set to release on November 18th for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Are you excited to face off against a new round of terror in this upcoming season finale title?
