During IGN Fanfest, Bloober Team and Anshar Studios gave us a release window for Layers of Fear - the series’ crowning work. This is the same title that was originally announced as Layers of Fears, but they dropped the ‘s’ and officially label it as Layers of Fear (2023).
What makes this next title the series’ crowning work, it will include the remakes of Layers of Fear and Layers of Fear 2, along with all the DLCs, and the never-before-told story of The Writer, which will tie everything together. Fans of the series won’t find it as a surprise that the stories of the two games and DLCs are connected, but it will be interesting to experience exactly how they are.
Delivering the ultimate way to experience the entire series, this game was developed from the ground up using cutting-edge Unreal Engine 5 technology. The game will support Ray Tracing, HDR, 4K resolution, and makes use of the Lumen system to offer the most immersive and visceral horror experience in the market. Prepare to make peace with the unknown as you delve into the twisted and eerie stories of three obsession-driven artists in this first-person psychedelic horror game.
Layers of Fear (2023) will release this June on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
