Action adventures are in an odd spot in our current gaming world, they are enjoyed by a smaller group of players, less streamable than things like Fornite and Overwatch, and usually only include one player. But here comes Remnant: From the Ashes with a genre mixing game that looks to entice players from many communities.
The game at its base is a survival adventure game. Remnant: From the Ashes puts the players in a world filled with demon like creatures that vary in size, shape and behavior. However, the game adds in a lot of The Last of Us feel and gameplay while bringing in lots of inspiration from Bloodborne. Being inspired by these games and looking to them isn’t bad at all, those games are amazing. Remnant: From the Ashes mixes various parts of these games while throwing in a lot of their own flair, style and most of all, multiplayer.
Bringing the world to life with multiplayer is going to make this game go from good to awesome in some respects. We haven’t played through it and don’t know the long lasting effect of playing the game or the multiplayer parts, but imagine playing something like Resident Evil 4 or Dark Souls with a few friends. Adding in friends can create a lot more memorable moments, players can help each other and this brings Remnant: From the Ashes from the single player grind to the online shared world of endless entertainment and possibilities.
We are very excited to get our hands on this game and see all that comes out of this title. Remnant: From the Ashes will be released on August 20th, 2019.
