Game Informer has snagged an exclusive look at the newest Resident Evil remake in Capcom’s resurgence of the series. Resident Evil 4 is just seven weeks away and Capcom has been drip-feeding us with content. Luckily Game Informer has been given the opportunity to complete 2 chapters of the main game and share all kinds of gameplay info.
Along with this exclusive look at the new title, we can also catch a quick glimpse of gameplay from Game Informer’s official sneak peek. We can see Leon fighting the Granados inside the church. The graphics look unbelievable and really resurrect this classic title. It seems like we are getting a similar treatment from the RE2 and RE3 remakes, with the RE engine in full swing here. It is incredible to see how the lighting and rain effects are turning this scene into a masterpiece.
We can also see in the short gameplay clip that Ashley will still be under the care of babysitter Leon, with the danger of Granados attempting to kidnap her when the moment gets tough. Players will have to stay on their toes to ensure she stays by their side at all times.
We can also see a glimpse of the new inventory slot system which mimics that of RE2 and RE3 remakes. We can see all of Leon’s weapons on his person while fighting and running from the Granados, just to add a bit more realism to the game.
Resident Evil 4 launches on March 23 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
