Capcom And iam8bit Bring A Resident Evil Themed Escape Room To LA For Halloween

If you're looking for something unique and exciting to do this Halloween you should check out the Resident Evil Escape Experience. That is, of course, if you live near LA or are willing to travel there. If you're a die-hard Resident Evil fan and end up doing so, you're in for a treat!

As part of Resident Evil's 20th anniversary celebration Capcom has decided to team up with creative production company, iam8bit, to create an escape room themed after the franchise. For those unfamiliar with escape rooms, an escape room is essentially a live-action adventure game where you as a player get locked in a room with a group of people and frantically have to solve a series of puzzles and riddles, all while interacting with the environment in order to escape from the room within a set amount of time. So, if you enjoy haunted houses, puzzles, and Resident Evil this might just turn out to be your perfect nightmare. Imagine how cool it will be to be trapped in a Resident Evil game without the need of a PlayStation VR

If you're familiar with Resident Evil VII: Biohazard and the corresponding demo you can see how this event is extremely appropriate as a promo. Capcom promises Resident Evil fans that in this Escape Experience they will get to see a multitude of obvious and not so obvious nods and references to the various Resident Evil titles throughout the game's history including Resident Evil 7. Thanks to iam8bit, who's known for producing awesome artwork, merch, and events for games and tv shows, there will also be a gallery featuring Resident Evil-themed art. Limited edition prints of the art exhibited as well as all sorts of exclusive merchandise will be available for sale.

The event will run from October 20 to November 6 and tickets are relatively limited. Sessions are available from Thursday to Sunday and there are about 4-5 sessions per day that will accommodate 6 people each. Sales end on October 21 although I doubt tickets will even last that long. Luckily for you, GameTyrant readers, at the time this article was written Capcom messed up the link to the ticket vendor on social media so by the time you read this you might still be able to find them at the correct link here.
