The sheer volume of quality content packed into this package is staggering, you're getting two full RPGs that still hold up beautifully, now portable on hardware that handles them with confidence. For longtime fans, there's something special about having these classics in your hands wherever you go, and for newcomers, this is as welcoming an entry point as you'll find. The games themselves remain as emotionally resonant and mechanically satisfying as ever, and the Switch 2 gives them a portable home that feels just right.
There are a few hiccups worth noting, there are some save and menu quirks pop up that remind you this is a port rather than a ground-up rebuild. But those minor issues do little to diminish what is otherwise a fantastic way to experience two of the most beloved RPGs in the Final Fantasy catalogue. DragonSword: Awakening
Judging a book by its cover is easy, and DragonSword: Awakening looks like it should be just another soulless gacha game designed to drain your wallet and your time. Here's the thing though, it's just not. Beneath the surface sits a genuinely beautiful game with gameplay that's actually fun to engage with and a story that's surprisingly well told. The development team behind this one is clearly talented, and their passion comes through in the details that a cynical cash-grab would never bother getting right. Don't let first impressions steer you away from what is a legitimately enjoyable experience.
DragonSword: Awakening is a keeper. The visuals that might initially scream "skip this" actually reveal a level of craft and care that sets it apart from the flood of similar-looking titles in the marketplace. This is a case where looking past the surface pays off in a big way, and the team behind it deserves recognition for delivering something genuinely worthwhile!
Star Ocean: The Second Story R for Switch 2

The game looks great, plays wonderfully, and adds yet another must-play title to an already impressive and rapidly growing library.
It's hard not to get excited about where the Switch 2 is heading when ports of this caliber keep landing on the platform. If you love your Switch 2 like I do, at this point, how could you not, this one belongs on your shelf.
The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu
They can’t all be bangers and while there's a lot to admire about The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu. The atmosphere is genuinely killer. Truly, the kind of creeping, Lovecraftian dread that gets under your skin and stays there. The development team has clearly poured effort into building a world that feels unique and unsettling, and when it's firing on all cylinders, you can see the vision. It's a compelling one that horror fans will find hard to resist peeking at.
The problem is consistency. For every moment that nails the tone and pulls you deeper into its eldritch nightmare, there's another that feels uneven or rough around the edges. The experience is just a bit too inconsistent to give a full-throated recommendation right now, and that's a shame because the foundation is clearly there for something special. Keep an eye on this one, with continued polish and refinement, The Mound could absolutely become the Lovecraftian horror experience it's striving to be. It's just not quite there yet.
