Rockstar Games announced Red Dead Online yesterday, which will serve as the multiplayer mode for the upcoming title Red Dead Redemption 2. Red Dead Online is scheduled to release some time in November 2018.
In November, Red Dead Online will release as a public beta where players can try out the online component of Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar Games warns players that the public beta will contain a few technical challenges at first, which will be fixed once Red Dead Online is officially released. The developer revealed via an email to Forbes that:
“Red Dead Online is planned for launch in November 2018, initially as a public beta, with more news to come soon. As with most online experiences of this size and scale, there will inevitably be some turbulence at launch. We look forward to working with our amazing and dedicated community to share ideas, help us fix teething problems and work with us to develop Red Dead Online into something really fun and innovative.”
A few days ago, Rockstar released new images showcasing the vast-open world that players are expected to explore in the upcoming game. Red Dead Redemption 2 releases on October 26 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
