It isn’t often that developers release their games into Steam’s Early Access with a plan already in place for what the game will hold in the near future. When it comes to Playstark, the team PQube is publishing, they already have a roadmap that goes out to May 2022 so players who get into their game Die After Sunset early know what lies ahead.
In a race against the inevitable sunset, it’s up to you to tool up with an astonishing array of items, gadgets and weapons to help you take down colossal Murkor bosses. But remember, death is not the end – for every defeat will only make you stronger. Collect Mukus from the fallen Murkors and cash it in, back at base to empower yourself for your next run!
From the initial release, this game will have two playable characters with different play styles, three levels and bosses, dozens of items and power-ups, and multiple missions to take on. In March, this will get its first update, which will bring a new level, new missions, a new enemy, bug fixes, and item balancing. In April, player’s can expect an update that will introduce a new playable character, new items, bug fixes, and item balancing. Then, in May, this game will get an update that will bring the final level, new missions, new Murkor, bug fixes, and item balancing.
It seems that when Die After Sunset releases next week on February 11th to Steam’s Early Access, it has a full game plan to release the final version before Summer! This is the most proactive plan I have ever seen a game get released with and it is sure to still take player feedback into account along the way. What do you think about an Early Access game releasing with a full release plan in place and transparently told?
