Sherlock Homes and his dear friend, Dr. Watson, are going on a meta time-travelling adventure in Draw Me A Pixel’s newest title, Crushed In Time. The French indie developer revealed at Gamescom on Wednesday that Crushed In Time is a spin-off of its last title, There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension.
Crushed In Time is a point-and-click game within a game where Holmes and Watson go out to solve the mystery of a character that went missing from a game that recently launched thanks to a bug in the game’s programming, which resulted in what one of the devs in the trailer called “ultra negative” reviews. The meta part comes where they’ll be pulled, stretched and released to solve wacky puzzles that come their way as they visit various stages of the game’s development to solve the mystery of the character glitch.
Think of this game as an interactive Diary of a Wimpy Kid novel, except Sherlock Holmes would be narrating it instead of Greg Heffley. I wonder how Greg would like this game if he got his hands on it in real life. I also never though imagined Holmes with a blond mustache.
Crushed In Time releases in 2026 on PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile.
